About Translog

About Translog

Translog Logistics is an independent logistics company established in Istanbul, providing international transport and integrated logistics services. Its specialist team assesses customers' transport requirements and develops solutions suited to cargo characteristics, origin and destination. Honesty, commitment and a clear understanding of customer needs form the foundation of its working approach.

International logistics requires the coordinated management of interconnected operations, beyond moving cargo between two points. Route selection, the appropriate transport method, loading conditions and transfer points are all part of this process. Translog brings together operations for different requirements through sea transport, intermodal transport and heavy cargo services.

Standard cargo and heavy or out-of-gauge cargo have different requirements in shipments for major customers and industrial projects. Each movement is therefore assessed according to cargo weight, dimensions, delivery point and operating conditions. The aim is to explain suitable transport options clearly and plan the operation as a whole.

Combining our Istanbul-based organisation with regional transport knowledge, we offer solutions for international shipments originating in or connected to Türkiye. Where sea, road and rail connections can be used together, we consider every stage as part of the same operation. For more information, explore our logistics and transport solutions.

Integrated Logistics and Project Transport

Translog's service approach is based on assessing different transport methods together according to the needs of the cargo. Sea transport is an important option for port-to-port shipments, while road transport and rail transport connections support access to origin and delivery points. Transitions between these methods in intermodal transport are planned with the whole operation in mind.

Project cargo and heavy transport cover operations requiring special preparation because of cargo dimensions and weight. Assessing suitable routes, transport equipment and loading conditions is important in these shipments. Solutions for industrial projects are shaped by the nature of the cargo.

The port stage is also part of the overall shipment. Port services address loading, discharge, lashing and storage requirements together with the relevant operation. For shipments using river–sea vessels, technical vessel specifications and route conditions are taken into account. Helping customers assess the connections between different services within a single transport plan is a core objective of our integrated logistics approach.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide logistics solutions suited to our customers' international transport requirements, based on trust and open communication. We value assessing each cargo in its own context, explaining transport options clearly and planning operating stages as a whole.

By combining sea, road, rail and river connections as needed, we aim to develop a service approach that supports our customers' commercial activities. Addressing technical requirements in advance for project and heavy cargo, improving coordination among the parties involved and managing expectations appropriately are all part of this approach.

We regard honesty, achievable commitments and long-term business relationships as fundamental principles when matching our expertise to customer needs.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a preferred partner for logistics connections between Türkiye and international markets through our expertise and service approach. We aim to develop our integrated transport capabilities and maintain operations that adapt to changing trade conditions.

We seek to deepen our knowledge in specialist areas such as the Caspian Sea region, river–sea connections and project transport, and to assess transport methods together to offer suitable options. We view development not simply as moving more cargo, but as improving planning and strengthening coordination.

Efficient use of resources, selection of suitable transport methods and sustainable business relationships are important to our future approach. We aim to be a logistics company that learns from customer feedback, improves its processes and builds lasting trust.

Quality Policy

Our quality policy focuses on understanding customer needs accurately and planning transport accordingly. We consider service quality throughout the process, from initial assessment to completion, rather than only at delivery. Our guiding principles are:

  • Planning around requirements: Identifying suitable transport options by assessing cargo dimensions, weight, characteristics and delivery conditions.
  • Clear and accurate communication: Explaining the scope, conditions and responsibilities of each party clearly and maintaining communication as conditions change.
  • Protecting cargo safety: Including loading, unloading, securing and transfer requirements in the transport plan and considering the precautions required by the operation.
  • Regulatory compliance: Observing applicable transport rules and operating requirements and assessing each shipment in its own context.
  • Coordination and cooperation: Supporting information flow between the parties involved and alignment between operating stages.
  • Continuous improvement: Using customer feedback and operating experience to improve business processes.
  • Resource efficiency: Considering routes and transport methods according to requirements to support efficient use of time, equipment and other resources.

Through these principles, we aim to meet customer expectations within a realistic plan and maintain business relationships based on mutual trust.

Integrated Access to the Caspian Region

Transport to the Caspian Sea region requires sea and river connections to be assessed together. Translog offers full and part shipment solutions using river–sea vessels from Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean ports to the Caspian region. Turkmenbashi, Aktau, Baku and Bandar Anzali are among the ports served.

These operations consider collection at the origin and delivery in the destination region alongside movement between ports. Sea, road and rail connections are assessed according to cargo characteristics, operating conditions and the consignee's address. Coordination between transport methods and planning transfer stages are particularly important for project cargo.
